Welcome to CyberSmartNV
Veterans

First, thank you for your service and sacrifices you have made for our country.

Second, there are many Veteran specific resources for getting into cybersecurity or furthering your education in cybersecurity. At CyberSmartNV we try to bring those resources together in one place to make it easier for our Veteran community to find what they need.

Cybersecurity can be a great opportunity and rewarding challenge for Veterans who seek a way to serve beyond the uniform. Fighting cyber-crime is not an easy task and it is not something the average citizen of Nevada is equipped to handle. However, Veterans often have a leg up when it comes to these type of positions. Veterans often show a willingness to work as a team, have a sense of duty, are organized, disciplined, have amazing problem solving skills, have learned to be adaptable, and demonstrate outstanding flexibility.

The resources below include links for education in cybersecurity to employment opportunities. If you know of any resources CyberSmartNV may have missed – please submit them “here.” Once reviewed, they may be added to the resource section.Additionally, if you find a resource that is not working, please let the admins know ASAP. “Contact CyberSmartNV Admin.”
